1171 QUARTER-SIZE BREADBOARD PCB KIT, PERMA-PROTO

 

This proto-board is the PCB you always wish you had, but never realized it! Adafruit took the basic layout of a quarter-sized breadboard (the PCB has 17 rows) and turned that into a beautiful PCB. The top side has a white silkscreen, and the same markings you're familiar with, to make transferring components easy. The bottom has a 4-hole pad design that matches a classic breadboard, with 4 power bus lines on the sides, and no mask so you can easily cut traces when necessary. Adafruit used 1.2mm diameter drill holes so even parts with big leads will fit. All holes are thru-plated for strength - these wont peel off with rework. The finish is a gold plate - you won't get oxidation like with bare copper perf! There are also tons of mounting holes so you can attach the PCB to your project box.

 

Comes with one PCB and one box header, you'll need to do a little light soldering to attach the box header to the PCB but its fast and easy to do. To connect it to a Pi, you'll also need a 26-pin GPIO cable if you don't already have one

65  TINY BREADBOARD

 

This a tiny little breadboard...half the size of a half-size breadboard! Measures 1.4" x 1.6" (3.5 cm x 4.5cm)

They have a long grippy adjustment knob and with 0.1" spacing they plug into breadboards or perfboards with ease.

64  HALF-SIZE BREAD BOARD

 

This is a cute half size breadboard, good for small projects. It's 2.2" x 3.4" (5.5 cm x 8.5 cm) with a standard double-strip in the middle and two power rails on both sides. You can pull the power rails off easily to make the breadboard as thin as 1.4" (3.5cm). You can also cut these in half with a saw to create 2 tiny breadboards, or "snap" these breadboards together either way to make longer and/or wider breadboards.

942 Adafruit Pi Dish for Raspberry Pi - Includes Breadboard

 

By popular demand! Adafruit now have a way to attach a Raspberry Pi computer to a plastic 'dish' with a full-sized breadboard. Adafruit designed it carefully to make it as easy as possible to attach and detach the Pi. Since the Pi computer does not have any mounting holes, Adafruit use these nifty plastic edge 'grabbers' - they are incredibly strong but will not damage the Pi circuit board. There are two ways to mount the Pi on to the plate - one if you want to use the HDMI output primarily and one if you plane to use the composite output (they're on opposite sides of the board so its not possible to have both easily accessable) Next to the Pi is a spot for a full sized breadboard, plenty of space for your project even if you're using an Adafruit Cobbler breakout helper.

640  Conductive Thread

 

After months of searching, Adafruit finally have what they consider to be the ultimate conductive thread. It's thin, strong, smooth, and made completely of 316L stainless steel. Once you start working with this thread you'll quickly agree its optimal for any wearables work This thread is 2 ply, a little thicker than every day polyester or cotton thread but still thin enough to be sewn by hand in medium-eye needles or with a sewing machine that can handle 'heavy' thread. Because it is strong and smooth, its ideal for any wearable/e-textile project.

It also has fairly low resistivity, 16 ohms per foot so you can use it to drive LEDs and other electronic components that use under ~50mA. Because it is made of stainless steel fibers, it will not oxidize like silver does: your projects will not 'stop working' because of oxidation after a few months and its safe to wash.

However, this thread is a little 'stiff', it feels a little like 'waxed thread' and is not ideal for making iPhone-compatible gloves.

1361  Conductive Sheet

 

This conductive material (also known as "Velostat" or "Linqstat") is a nice addition for your wearable/sensor hacking toolkit. It's pressure-sensitive: squeezing it will reduce the resistance, so it's handy for making flexible sensors. And it's a lot less expensive than off-the-shelf pressure or bend sensors too!

Each order comes with a 11"x11" (28cm x 28cm) 8mil (0.2mm) thick piece. We may fold the sheet into quarters to ship it to you.

To remove any hard creases, simply lay flat on a table and put a heavy book on top to flatten it out.
